Williams-Sonoma, Inc. engaged VMAD to transform a recently vacated big-box retail building on Long Island into a dynamic multi-brand retail destination. The challenge was to reimagine the dated red-brick structure as a cohesive environment capable of housing several of the company’s flagship brands including West Elm, Pottery Barn, and Williams Sonoma, within a single architectural framework.

Through careful planning and a strategic reworking of the existing shell, the design introduces a series of interconnected retail environments that allow each brand to maintain its distinct identity while contributing to a unified customer experience.
