Conceived in conjunction with the design and development team at West Elm’s Workspace Collection, VMAD designed the 2,500 square foot flagship showroom, housed within Chicago’s famous Merchandise Mart, for the launch of the iconic brand new office furniture line.

Working within strict timeline restraints, VMAD marshalled all the resources necessary to complete the scope of work on time and within budget. The resulting space, outfitted with West Elm Workspace upholstery, furniture, chairs, desks, and lighting, re-invented the category of commercial furniture. Considered a disruptor, the collection skirts the line between residential and contract furniture, with softer silhouettes and equal attention paid to comfort, style, and utility.
