Large plate glass windows allow passersby to see into the newly designed Madewell Store in the Shops at Hudson Yards.

VMAD worked with the CEO of Madewell to conceive, design and realize a new concept store for the Virginia-based casual clothing brand, integrating menswear and womenswear under one roof.

The resulting 3,500 square foot retail space, completed under strict time constraints, features an expansive plate-glass storefront within the mall structure. Materials and finishes throughout speak to the brand’s stylized focus on clothes at the intersection of fashion and utility, which include denim, clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories.
