Natural wood and stone combine with industrial lighting in the WEST ELM FURNITURE showroom at the Empire Office space on Madison Avenue

The brief was to conceive, design, and oversee the construction of a 2,500 square foot commercial showroom meant to showcase West Elm’s Workspace line of contract furniture. Further, complete the entire scope of work in an accelerated timeframe.

In successfully managing the task, VMAD interfaced with the CEO of West Elm and the owner/management team at the vast multi-line Empire Office showroom at 61st Street and Madison Avenues. The finished showroom, decidedly industrial with polished raw-concrete floor and exposed masonry beams, effectively melds the shopping experience atmosphere with West Elm’s wide-ranging collection of upholstery, chairs and stools, desks, tables, and lighting.
